Privacy Policy

Overview

StockPilot AI ("we," "us," or "the Service") provides portfolio tracking, watchlists, and AI-assisted informational summaries. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Account information: email address, optional display name, and a password stored only in hashed form on our servers.

Content you provide: investment plan settings, watchlist tickers, position and trade logs, journal notes, check-in responses, and questions you send to the assistant.

Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) used for security and reliability.

We do not collect payment card data in the app. The Service does not execute trades or link brokerage accounts.

How we use information

To authenticate you and operate your account across web and mobile.

To store and display your portfolio data, run scheduled check-ins, and generate summaries you request.

To send optional email notifications if you enable them.

To improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information.

AI and third-party services

When you use AI features, relevant context (such as your plan, holdings, and question) may be sent to an AI provider (e.g. OpenAI) to generate a response. Do not submit information you are not comfortable sharing with those providers.

Market data may be retrieved from third-party sources (e.g. Stooq). Those providers have their own policies.

The Service is hosted on cloud infrastructure (e.g. Render) with a managed database. Providers process data on our behalf under their terms.

Analytics

Product analytics hooks exist in the codebase but are disabled unless you configure a provider. If enabled in your deployment, update this policy and disclose the provider.

Retention and security

We retain account and portfolio data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete account (type DELETE to confirm).

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, hashed passwords, access controls) but no system is perfectly secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Use Profile → Delete account in the app, or contact us for help.

If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the revised date at the top. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
